Theatre Bugs Layout

Hi

This is the last of the "holiday" layouts.

Each school holidays Charli spends a week at Theatre Bugs and they learn singing  and dancing and at the end of the week they put on a play that all the parents/grand parents can attend. This is a photo from the play in January this year where Charli was Robin Hood in the play called Ogres.

Once again I have used Kaisercraft papers, the Fiesta range this time.
All of the pattern papers have been distressed and mounted on white card stock which has also been distressed.

There is a pocket behind the patterned paper to hold the play program.

The chipboard brackets are coated with Gesso then stamped with black ink.

Title was cut on my Scan N Cut using the True Type Font Converter. I love this feature which allows you to cut any True Type Font that you have on your computer.

It is a simple layout but striking because of the bright colours I think.

Scrapbooking, Kaisercraft Fiesta, distressing, chipboard, Scan N Cut, True Type Converter, pocket

Hope this gives you some ideas for a layout that you might be contemplating

Till next time

Biker Chick Layout

Back today to share number 2 holiday layout.

Once again I have used Kaisercraft papers - a mix of "Timeless" and "Mix & Match".
I was looking for something that was not too feminine because of Ray being in the photo but not overly masculine either.

The scalloped chipboard is coated with Gesso and the cogs are painted with black pressure pack paint. The paper embellishments have been cut using my Big Shot, and the tab was made using McGill's File Tab punch. A bit of frayed twine for some depth and Dimensional Magic for a bit of gloss on the smallest heart. A few splatters with black Glimmermist add a bit of grunge.

The title was once again cut on my Scan N Cut using the True Type Converter.

Selfy Layout

Hello

I have been away on holidays so I made up 3 "kits" to take with me so I chould do some scrapbooking.

I finished all three except for titles which I wanted to make on my new Scan N Cut.

I used the True Type Font Converter that is available for the Scan N Cut to make the titles, first time I have used it so that was interesting. It is quite simple really. It allows you to use any font on your computer with your machine.

So here is the first layout I did. It is a photo of Cindy and Charli taken while they were on holidays in Queensland last year.

I have used Kaisercraft Miss Match patterned papers, the apricot flower ribbon and the apricot flower were bought at my local scrapbooking store. The burlap flowers, gold scroll and gold tulle are from Cheap as Chips and I can't remember where the chipboard heart came from. I heat embossed the chipboard with Stampendous Aged Gold embossing powder.

Plenty of distressing and inking on all of the papers.

Scrapbooking, burlap flowers, flower lace, Kaisercraft paper, heat embossing, Scan N Cut

Family Layout

Hi there

I am sharing a layout I did this past week of a photo of me and my brother and sisters taken in 1961 before we left Keith in the south east of South Australia. We were looking into the sun as you had to in those days and I can remember my brother and youngest sister (at the time, 2 more sisters followed within the next 3 years) complaining and having to be held in place while our mother took the photo.

I have used an embossed Bazzil for the background which has had very little work done to it. A bit of stamping using a Kaisercraft stamp and Stayzon Ink then a few splatters with a couple of Glimmermists.

The patterned paper is a Heidi Swapp paper pad that I have had in my stash for soooo long.

Embellishments are very simple. A recycled doily from the op shop and a burlap flower that I have coloured with one of the Glimmermists I used in the background.

Title is chipboard by Stuff 2 Scrap, coloured with a black ink pad. Journaling is computer printed on a self-adhesive transparency.

Scrapbooking, Heidi Swapp, stamping, glimmermist, chipboard, fishtail pennants, doily

Hope you like it

Royal Adelaide Show Layout

Hi
I'm here to share a layout I made last week using the Kaisercraft March Challenge Sketch.

I did not actually enter in the challenge but have used the sketch because I liked it.

For the background I used a stencil with texture paste and while the stencil was still in place and the paste was still wet I sprayed it with a pink, blue and yellow glimmermist then left it to dry. I love the effect and will be using this technique again.

The boarder for the background is stamped using Dylusions - Further Around the Edge stamp.

The papers are from Kaisercraft - Confetti Collection.

The Ferris Wheel is a free cut file I found on the internet and cut with my Scan n Cut. My new toy which I am loving so far.

As I have run out of room for journaling on the layout I have written the story on the back.
