24th April Layout and process video

Good morning

Today I am sharing a double page 8" x 8" layout.

You can see the process video here.

I have used the Kaisercraft "Party" collection on this page.

I have also used some Colour Blast Pastes through a 13@rts stencil on the background.

The border is made using my sewing machine and a straight stitch and a zig zag stitch over the top of a hand drawn sketchy border.

There is a pocket behind one of the photos that holds the program with all the details of the play she was in.

The photos are matted on tissue paper.

Hope you will check out my video and subscribe to my channel.

Motorbike Ride Layout

Good Afternoon

To create this page I have used a Kaisercraft "Party" paper pad.

I have torn 2 edges of the white cardstock and placed a couple of layers of patterned paper behind the photo which has been matted on white cardstock. I have wrapped some twine around the top layer of patterned paper.

The scalloped patterned paper that has been layered at the bottom of the page was created using a Sizzix die called Lace Scallop. The hearts, scribbly circle and You & Me are chipboard that I have heat embossed with White.

The title is made with alpha stickers.

Choir Layout

Good Afternoon again

2 post in one day.....what is happening

I am sharing a layout that belongs in my Grand-daughters yearly album. It is an 8" x 8" album so I have to scale everything down.

I am using Kaisercraft's Party collection throughout the album.

The background cardstock is plain white. Using my Scan N Cut I cut a circular frame out of one of the papers and attached it to the background.

I then cut 3 strips of patterned paper to go down the left hand edge of the page and 3 strips of the dark grey paper, which I punched to go between the layers.

I saved the punched out flowers and stuck them randomly to the background.

I have then added a dob of Scribbles (similar to Stickles) to the centre of each of the flowers. This is quite textured and stands off the page quite well.

The title is cut using Sizzix "Cherish" font dies.

You can see the dimension that the Scribbles add to the flowers in this photo.

I purchases the 6.5" x 6.5" paper pad, the Collectables, the stamp set, the 12" x 12" sheet of cut a parts and the Christmas Tree stencil.

I did not end up using the stencil but I have used parts of all of the other items on my cards.

These are the cards I made.

Cheshire Cat Layout

Good afternoon

Today I am sharing a layout I did for my Grand-daughter's yearly album about her participation in a theatre production during the January school holidays.

This is a 2 page spread but I am only sharing this side of the layout as the other page has a group photo and I am not sure how the other mothers would feel about having their children's photos on the internet. The other page has the program in a pocket behind the photo and that shows all of the details about this event so journalling on this page is unnecessary.

This album is actually an 8" x 8" album and I find it very easy to fill these pages up, as a matter of fact I find it very easy to over-fill the pages so I have to be fairly restrained.

I have used TCW Mini Chicken Wire Reversed stencil with some Texture Paste that I have coloured with some purple acrylic paint randomly over the background.

All of the patterned papers come from the Kaisercraft 12" x 12" paper pad from the "Party" collection.

The hexagons were cut using Spell Binders Nested Hexagons and my Big Shot.

I have inked the edges and doodled around the layout and all of the patterned papers.

For the title I used some unbranded Alphabet Stickers that I bought from my local scrapbooking store.

Hope you are making the most of this great weather we are having here in South Australia.

Pianorama Layout

Hi there, long time no see.

It is the 2nd of October today and I could say where did September go but I know where it went.....
I was on holidays and a great holiday it was. We have been to so many places and seen so much. We have been to Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler, Blue River, Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff, 2 days on the Rocky Mountaineer, Kamloops, Alaskan Inside Passage Cruise to Junea, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan, then to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

We got home a week ago and I was fine for the first 2 days then I came down with a very bad cold and have spent 3 of the last 5 days in my pyjamas and dressing gown. Yesterday and today I did manage to get dressed. I think I have this cold on the run now and have started doing a few things around here.

Of course one of the first things I wanted to do was some scrapbooking, it has been a long time between layouts.

This is the layout I did yesterday

For this layout I used a 13 @rts stencil and some Matisse Iridescent Medium to add some texture. The iridescent sheens gives some depth to the tone on tone background

All of the papers and cardstock have been distressed using my Prima Distressing tool and black Vera Colour Ink

I framed the white background with a dark green cardstock to give it weight.
The papers and stickers are from the Kaisercraft "Fiesta" collection.

It was a great holiday and I am happy to be home.

See you again soon
