Glimmermist and Glad wrap technique

Good Evening

Things have been very hectic around here and I have not had much free time but I wanted to share this bit of play with you.

I have been playing around with the Glimmermist and Glad wrap technique  using some other mediums.

This a quick and easy technique (except for drying time) and worth a try.

Spray your paper liberally with Glimmermist and the cover with Glad wrap ensuring you make plenty of wrinkle in the glad wrap

Let this dry completely. I generally leave it over night, then peel the Glad wrap off.

Such a great pattern, each one is completely different. When you use a "glimmer" product the glimmer gathers in the creases and gives a beautiful effect. This is my favourite product to use for this technique.

I also did it with Color Crush powders.

Ranger Inks

And acrylic paints. I was really happy with this one as well and will be using this technique with the paints in a future project.

This is a layout I created using this technique for the background

Why not give this a go. It is fun

Beautiful Layout

Hi

Today I am sharing a layout I have created with a dual purpose.

I am using Rub-Ons for my Stash busting post over at Creative Inspirations and I have used the sketch and colours from Off The Rails August Challenge

All of the black on this page is rub-ons.

A very minimalist page using a few paper scraps, mists and some cotton to add colour to the rub-ons.

The photo was taken into the sunset and had the yellow glow already so I thought it was ideal for this colour challenge.

Fairstart Layout

Tonight I am sharing another of the layouts I did before I went away.

The photo on this layout is of my Mother when she went on a cruise with some of her friends in 1991, so a very old photo. As a matter of fact I didn't even know I had this photo but stumbled across it when I was looking for something else.

I have kept the layout pretty open and clean.

A dinner plate was used to draw the circle which I then went over with "Smooch"
The patterned papers are by American Crafts and All My Memories and have been in my stash for longer than I care to admit. The blue swirls in the bottom left corner are a printed transparency and the white flower was purchased in a pack of 4.

The red flowers are 4 size decreasing circles cut from Mulberry Paper and then layered on top of each other.

Finishing touches of twine, enamel dots and washi tape complete the layout.

I have not added a title because the photo says it all.

Choral & Vocal Night Layout

Ahhh so we are back from Queensland and I am already missing the beautiful weather we had up there. I have got the heater and several layers of clothing on to try to stay warm.

I did a couple of layouts before I left with the intention of sharing them with you while I was away but completely forgot to do it so here is the first one.

The papers are from a mixed pack I bought many years ago so I don't know the brand.

I have used pearl paints over a Tim Holtz music notes mask on the background in the colours of the singers t/shirts. I have then outlined the masked area with a black pen.

I have cut the circle from a multi-coloured sheet of velum on my Scan N Cut. The stars and text were also cut on the Scan N Cut.

The chipboard "School" was painted with the same paint as the red in the background.

All of the starts have a coat of Dimensional Magic

Hope you like my layout
