Creative Inspiration April Blog Hop and Tutorial

Hi there Hoppers.

So glad you could join us for the Creative Inspirations Blog Hop.

The theme for this hop is "Spring" and we would love to have you join in. There are prizes to be won so why not give it a go.

Please hop along and check out all 10 designers and see what they have created to inspire you. I will list each of them with a link to their blogs, at the end of this post

This is my layout. The photos were taken when we lived in Hahndorf.

To make this layout you will need 3 pieces of patterned paper, 4 photos that are 3" x 4" portrait orientation, ink, pen, paper trimmer, assorted flowers or other embellishments of your choice and letters for your title.

Cut the centre from the background paper leaving a 1" frame

Trim one of the patterned papers  to 11.5" x 11.5".
Cut the piece that was cut from the middle of the background paper to 6.5" x 8"

Ink the edges of all of the papers you have cut.
Attach the 11.5" square piece of paper, centred, to the 12" square background paper.
Attach the 6.5" x 8" piece of patterned paper 2" from the top of the layout and 2.5" from the left hand side of the layout.

Using the 3rd piece of patterned paper cut a piece 10" x 3", cut a fishtail from both narrow ends. Ink the edges and attach approx. centrally on the 6.5" x 8" piece of patterned paper.

File the edges of your photos with an emery board to create a fine white border. Attach these to the layout with foam tape so the top photos are approx 1/2" above the 6.5" x 8" piece of patterned paper and spread equally across the paper. Add the bottom photos so they are approx 1/2" below the 6.5" x 8" piece of patterned paper and directly below the top photos.

Die cut some arrows, I have used Kaisercraft DD501 Arrows die, ink the edges and attach them to the top left corner of the layout  as shown below.

Attach your embellishments to the right hand edge of your photos. I have used some hand-made (by my Mum) silk pansies, a purchased flower and some assorted leaves.

Attach your title, I have used stickers for this.
Doodle around each piece of patterned paper.
This completes the layout.

To be in the running for any of the prizes you will need to follow and leave a comment on each of the DT members blogs
