Today I want to announce the beginning of the #JJIIOutwithaBang collaboration

put together by Mandy from SunflowersAndDors and myself

 

This collaboration will run for the Month of August

Each day one or two collaborators will post a video on YouTube showcasing a project they have created using their prompt.

Today I am creating a pocket, a velum bag and a paper bag to go in my altered book

I have printed one of the pages from the Ivory Rainbow digital kit from Paperomia

onto velum to use in this project.

I have added patterned paper and pockets to the journal.

The next step is to add more embellishments to 

a few more of the pages.

Altered Book Part 1- Preparing the book

 Good morning

I am starting a new project today - an altered book

For those new to junk journaling this means taking a book, removing pages, 

and using what pages are left in the book to create pockets, pages etc.

As this is my first attempt at this style of journal I chose a book that had

only about 9 or 10 signatures. 

I will be using a beautiful digital kit from Paperomia for this project.

The kit is called Ivory Rainbow

I love how 3D it looks

Snippet Strips

 Good morning

Today I have some snippet strips I created to decorate 

side pockets in my Steampunk Journal

These strips are made using tiny envelopes and various other embellishments.

Each one also has pieces of lace and a charm attached.
