Today I am sharing three cards I created just for fun.
All of the card bases are cut to 5 1/4" x 10 1/2", scored and folded at 5 1/4" on the long side
then folded to make a 5 1/4" card.
Let's start with this card. It is probably the simplest of them all.
The stamp I have used is Woodware JGS447 Whimsical Flower - Daisy May.
I have stamped with Versamark Embossing Ink and
embossed with Super Fine Detail Black Embossing Powder.
I used Kaisercraft's Brush Tip Markers to colour the image then fussy cut it.
I cut a piece of acetate 5" square and ran it though my Big Shot with a Daisy embossing folder from Couture Creations.
The flower was attached to the acetate using Art Glitter Glue.
This was then attached to a 5" square piece of white cardstock.
This panel was then added to the card base which was created from cream pearl cardstock.
To create the sentiment I heat embossed "happy" from
Scrapbook.com's Happy Birthday To You stamp set and
"Birthday" from Woodware's A Birthday Moment stamp set.
I trimmed these close to the text, inked the edges, mounted them on chipboard
and attached them to the front of the card
For the inside of the card I cut a piece of white cardstock 5" square
and stamped the daisy image so it overhung the right hand edge of the cardstock.
I inked the edges of this panel and attached it to the inside of the card.
For the second card I cut a pieces of yellow cardstock 5" square.
I also cut two pieces of white cardstock, one 5" square and the other 4 1/2" square.
Using an all over daisy designed stamp I heat embossed the image onto the 5"
yellow piece and the 5" white piece of cardstock, being sure to line them up perfectly.
I used Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin Distress inks to colour the flowers on the white cardstock and Peeled Paint and Pine Needles Distress inks to colour the leaves.
I applied the colour using a water brush.
I then trimmed 3/8" from each side of the stamped white panel, making this panel 4 1/4" square.
The floral panel was attached to the plain white cardstock and then attached to the yellow stamped panel.
This panel was then attached to a white card base.
The sentiment was die cut from yellow cardstock,
mounted on a piece of white cardstock that is 3" x 1"
and attached to the card front.
To add a little something to the inside of the card
I mounted one of the pieces I trimmed from the edge of the stamped/coloured panel
on some yellow cardstock and added that to the left hand edge of the inside panel.
I had fun making the flowers for this card.
I used Alcohol Inks on acetate.
I used Paper Mill alcohol inks in Poppy, Rose, Turquoise, Citrus, Emerald and Leaf.
I also added some Shimmer Magenta, Shimmer Amethyst and Pearl to the mix.
I added drops of the ink to the acetate and then used my
Couture Creations blower/puffer tool to move the ink around.

I used Stayz In Place Inkpad in Jet Black to stamp Woodware's Mini Scented Bloom
three times onto the dried acetate sheet.
I also stamped several of the leaves from Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose stamp set.
This ink was not as dark and crisp as I would have liked it to be and I found I had to go over the image with a black permanent marker to be able to see it properly.
I fussy cut the flowers and leaves.
I cut two pieces of white cardstock, one 5" square and the other 4" square.
I ran these through my Big Shot with a
Cuttlebug embossing folder that created an all over dot design
I also cut a piece of yellow cardstock that was 4 1/4" square.
I attached the large piece of white cardstock to the yellow cardbase.
The small white cardstock was attached to the 4 1/4" yellow cardstock.
This panel was then attached to the card front with a piece of chipboard behind it.
The flowers and leaves were attached to the front of the card
and gems were added to the flower centres
On the inside of the card I added white cardstock measuring 5" x 3 1/4" to the centre.
I cut two strips of white cardstock 5" x 5/8" and two strips of the acetate 5" x 1/2".
The acetate was attached to the white cardstock and then one strip was attached
at the top of the inside panel and the other to the bottom.

Today I am sharing three cards I created using my DT kit from KS4U
I have used a paper pad from Bazzill Basics called Timeless and as it is in the creams fawns and black colourings so I thought it would be ideal for a set of masculine cards.
All of the cards are 5.25" square and all of the patterned papers have been inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
Card No. 1
This is a gatefold card.
I cut my card base to 10.5" x 5.25" and scored at 2 5/8" and 7 7/8" then folded the edges
into the centre on the score marks
I cut two pieces of patterned paper for the front of the card at 2 3/8" x 5"
The three pieces of white cardstock that form the pennants across the front of the card are
3 1/2" x 1 1/4" with a fishtail cut into one end
The patterned papers on top of the pennants are 3 1/4" x 1"
A piece of white cardstock was cut to 2 7/8" x 3/4" to hold the greeting
The greeting is stamped using one of the stamps in the Woodware - Word Fragments stamp set and StazOn Jet Black Ink
A piece of the same patterned paper that is on the front panels was trimmed to 5" square and added to the inside of the card.
Card No. 2
For this card I have two patterned papers and a piece of white cardstock layered on top of each other to form the base of the front panel. The edges of these papers have been distressed using my Prima Distressing tool before I applied the ink.
Paper sizes are:-
Patterned paper 1 - 5 1/8" square
White cardstock 4 7/8" square
Patterned paper 2 - 4 3/4" square.
I added a small black brad to each corner of this panel
To add a little colour to the card I cut a piece of teal burlap to about 4" square and added that to the front of the card.
I used my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create a 3 1/4" x 2 3/4" envelope from patterned paper. This was attached on top of the burlap
Using my Spellbinders Label One dies I cut a square frame white cardstock to fit inside of the envelope.
This is where I added my computer generated greeting.
I had planned on leaving the white greeting panel loose in the envelope so it could be
taken in and out but I did not like the way it moved around as the card was handled
so I attached it to the envelope with a dab of glue
Card No. 3
I decided to use a black background panel for this card so I cut a piece of
black cardstock to 5 1/4" square which will be attached to the white card base.
I also cut a 4 1/4" square and a 4 1/4" x 2" piece of the same black cardstock
Patterned papers were cut to 5 1/8" and 4 1/8" squares.
The 4 1/8" patterned paper was attached to the 4 1/4" black cardstock
and a black brad was attached in each corner.
The 5 1/8" patterned paper was attached to the 5 1/4" black cardstock and then
attached to the white card base.
I wrapped some fibres around the remaining piece of black cardstock
and attached that to the middle of the 4 1/8" piece of patterned paper.
I used my Spellbinders Circle dies to cut a circle from black cardstock that is
approximately 2 1/2" in diameter and a 2 3/8" circle from a patterned paper.
These were attached to each other.
I made three small pennants from a scrap of the patterned paper that were 5/8" x 1"
and matted these on some black cardstock.
The greeting is another of my computer generated greeting that I have matted on black cardstock.
The pennants and the greeting were attached to the circle
and then attached to the card with some craft foam behind it.

Here is my layout
I have used two 4" x 4" photos on this layout that were taken when a group of us went cruising in November 2006.
I used a La La Land Scalloped Border die to die cut the scallops in the Nostalgia Cardstock
Once I had inked the edges of all of the patterned papers I attached them to the layout using double sided tape.
I then machine stitched around the page and all of the patterned papers.
I would suggest if you are going to machine stitch on your layout that you stitch each of the patterned papers before you attach them to the page. It would be so much easier.
I created a small cluster to the lower right hand area of the layout and added a few embellishments in other areas of the layout using fussy cut items from The Story - Layer Cuts sheet and a strip of the Journey paper.
I used a black fountain pen to draw faux stitching around these embellishments.
I recently purchased a course from Allison Davis called Sketches for 6" x 6" Paper Pads.
The idea is to use up your 6" paper pads on scrapbooking layouts. The course goes for 20 weeks and has a different sketch each week.
This layout was created using the sketch from Week 8.
The paper pad I used for this layout is from Basic Grey and is called Indian Summer
I have cut four 1 1/2" squares from 10 of the papers from the pad.
I did not use them all but having the variety gave me choices of what papers to place next to each other. I think I ended up using 29 squares.
I followed the sketch to place the squares on a 45 degree angle, inked all of the edges and then attached them with Art Glitter Glue.
I cut two piece of patterned paper, 3/8" x 6" and attached them to the top of the layout
so they joined in the middle and looked like a 12" strip.
I inked the bottom edge of these strips before I attached them.
Once they were in place I used my sewing machine and black thread to stitch straight lines through most of the squares.
I trimmed my photo down to 3 1/2" x 6" and matted it on white cardstock that is 1/4" wider and longer than the photo.
I inked the edge of the white cardstock, added some craft foam to the back of it and attached it to the page.
To embellish my page I used my Scan N Cut to cut some scalloped hearts from white cardstock and some plain hearts from three of the patterned papers I had used for the squares.
I inked the edges and layered the coloured hearts on top of the white ones.
These were attached to the layout around the edges of the photo.
The title was also cut on my Scan N Cut from black cardstock and attached underneath the photo.
The date the photo was taken was hand written under the title.

All of the papers on this layout have had the edges inked using Kaisercraft's Bark ink cube
To create the background I used an assortment of star stamps, that I had in my stash, to stamp randomly with StazOn Jet Black and Versa Color Cardinal Red inks.
I cut four pieces of the patterned papers so they measured 3.24" x 4", inked the edges and attached them to the page with double sided tape
I cut two of each size of the tags in the die set from Find Your Way as well as four of the ring reinforces in white cardstock.
I attached the ring reinforcers to the page using Art Glitter Glue.
I matted my photos onto black cardstock so they had a 1/16" border on each side.
I then used my sewing machine to stitch around the page, the patterned papers, the tags and the photos
I attached the tags to the layout, with glue, after I had threaded white crochet cotton through the holes.
The photos were mounted onto some craft foam before being added to the page.
The title was cut using my Scan N Cut from the Find Your Way paper
I fussy cut a few embellishments from The Story - Laser Cuts paper and added them to the layout
The date the photos were taken was hand written on the label at the bottom right of the layout.
