Four pocket embellishment for a journal

 Hello hello

Today I have an embellishment for a journal to share with you.

I saw "Creating with Wendy" create this on YouTube 

You get two of these embellishments from one sheet of 12" x 12" patterned paper

I have used a sheet from DCWV Botanical Beauty paper pad to make two of mine and a printable from ArtyMaze for the other.

The printable is an A4 size so the pocket it creates is slightly shorter and about an inch wider.

Window Front Cards

Good morning.

I have two cards to show you today

I have used my dies to cut a window in the front of each card.

One I have left open and the other I have backed with pink velum

I have die cut flowers to embellish both cards.

Two Butterflies Art Journal Page

Good morning

In today's post I want to share an art journal page.

I have not done any art journalling for so long and I really enjoyed creating this page.

I can see more art journalling in my near future.

I have used clothing tags and Glimmermists to create my background

A little texture paste through a stencil added a bit of white to the background

The focal point is the two coloured butterflies.

These were heat embossed onto white cardstock and then coloured with 

Distress/Distress Oxide inks and a water brush.

A few strips of patterned paper were added to help the butterflies stand out from the background.

Artist Trading Coins

 Good morning

Today I have 12 Artist Trading Coins to share with you.

I don't normally make these but I decided to join in a swap being run by

Sue at Paper Inspirations.

We need to create between 6 and 12 coins that measure between 2.5" and 4.5"

I have created 12 coins between 2.5" and 3.75" because that was the larges circle die I had.

These are the coins I created

and a few closeups so you can see some of the detail.

Scrapbooking Layout using Denise Boddey Designs Patterned Papers

Good morning, good morning

Today I would like to share a scrapbooking layout.

I haven't done any scrapbooking for quite a while and I really enjoyed doing this page.

I have used Denise Boddey Designs patterned papers for this page

The papers are from the Elegance Collection

The background is Elegance Collection - Glory

and the layers are Elegance Collection - After the Rain

The chipboard, Ornate 3 Trim and Foliage Stems, has a coat of white paint,

then I added Gilding Flakes using Deco Transfer Gel Duo.

The chipboard is layered on fine lace.

I have used my sewing machine to stitch around the photo and all of the paper layers.

The fussy cut elements are from an assortment of Denise's papers.

I have used the die from the Primrose stamp & die set to create the flowers

The title was cut from the same cardstock as the photo mat.

A coat of Glossy Accents was added to the fussy cut butterfly and the title

#roxysweeklychallenge Week 9 Window Flip

Good morning

I have a couple of window flips to share with you today

Racheal at Roxy Creations has a weekly challenge where she creates a project 

and invites others to create the same item in their own style.

You will find Racheal's video here.

These ate the two window flips I created for week 9's challenge

I have used a window envelope as the base for the taller flip and I have created a custom sized

one using cardstock and acetate to fit my journal for the other.

Concertina Card

 Good morning

A very quick post today to share a concertina card I made

I saw a few of these on the internet and decided to make one, 

they are so pretty

You will find the pattern I used here.

I have hand made all of the flowers on the card using dies from Denise Boddey.

I used

Craft Barn Primrose Stamp and Die set

Denise Boddey Poinsettia Die

Uniquely Creative Little Leaves

Memory Box Cottage Leaf

All of the papers are from Denise Boddey Designs too.

Criss Cross Flip out Pocket and Tags

 Good morning

Today I am sharing a video showing how I created this embellishment for my current journal

I adapted the idea from a card I saw on Pinterest.

The papers I used for this project are Birdsong and Charming Accents

from Uniquely Creative's Summer Sonata Collection.

Fussy cut items, lace and washi were used to decorate this embellishment

Acetate Easel Card

Good morning

I have a cute little idea for a card for you today.

I saw a picture of a similar card on Pinterest and just had to try making one.

There was no instruction with the pin so I have gone ahead and made it how I think,

and luckily it worked out.

The centre easel part of the card is acetate which gives a very interesting effect.
