I have added some cheesecloth/gauze to the front panel and some turquoise spotted ribbon on top of that.
I cut a 1.5" x 5" piece of white cardstock and attached a 1.25" x 5" piece of the same patterned paper on top of it. I added some chipboard scraps to the back of this panel before adding it on top of the ribbon so it was slightly off set.
A few flowers and leaves from my stash were added using my hot glue gun so I could be sure they would stay in place. I have added some clear gems to the flower centres for that lovely sparkle
These were then folded in half and attached to each other to create a square shape. To do this you attach half of each circle to the circle next to it making sure to keep your edges square with each other and straight. (You can see how this is done in the video. It is a bit hard to explain the process)
I attached some 5/8" satin ribbon to the back of the card making it long enough to come around to the front of the card and tie a nice bow.
I used my Spellbinders Standard Circles Small dies to cut a 3", 2.5" and 2" circle from three different sections of the Bee Arty Find Paradise - Recharge paper.
I cut these circles in half.
I cut a piece of the pink section from the Bee Arty Find Paradise Recharge paper to 7/8" x 5" then matted that onto a piece of white cardstock so there is about a 1/16" white border all around the pink. I added some chipboard scraps to the back of this panel.
I then added my circle halves to the front of the card starting with the largest circle and working my way down to the smaller aligning the top circles to the right and the borrow circles to the left. There is about a 1/2" gap between the top and bottom circles.
The pink panel was attached then so it covered that 1/2" gap between the circles.
I die cut the word Celebrate from the darker patterned paper and attached it to the pink panel along with a pink paper flower and a pink flair from the optional kit
This is the video that shows how these cards came together.
Thank you for spending part of your day here with me today.
The paint on my layout is the white acrylic paint that I have sponged through Kaisercraft's Lattice stencil to the whole background
I also used Turquoise acrylic paint to colour my chipboard which came from Dusty Attics Mini Captions #1 set and some white cardstock to cut my title from.
I have fussy cut the leaves from printed PVC fabric. The PVC fabric makes it very easy to attach the fabric to the page without getting in a mess with the glue showing through.
I used a bright pink cardstock to add a torn strip to the bottom of the layout and to mat my photos.
I used Kaisercraft's Alphabet Upper Case dies to cut my title, which is the name of the island we were on when these photos were taken.
The title was underlined with a fine black pen
The lace from the optional kit was attached at the top of the top photo and the bottom of the bottom photo.
Underlining the title and a scribbly border finish this page off.

I hope you will check out the competition, it is lots of fun seeing everyone's interpretations of the themes for each country.
Today I am sharing the layout I created for week 3 of the 8 week competition at Mystical Scrapbooks.
The challenge is Around the World in 8 Weeks and this week we are in Canada.
There is a colour challenge - use red and white
The technique is cutting- it can be fussy cutting, die cutting or using a cut file on your electronic cutting machine
The kit item is Maple leaves
This is my page
I have used my Scan N cut to cut Christmas Ornaments in black cardstock. I have backed this file with the red and white papers that the challenge asks for.
The red paper has gold stars on it and I have used gold mirror card for the metal sections at the top of each ornament
I have also used my Scan N Cut to cut the title from black cardstock.
The photos are matted onto the gold mirror card.
The maple leaves from the kit are attached at the bottom right of the larger photo.
I used a black Sharpie marker to draw a scribbly border around the whole page.

I have used Teal Cardstock for the background, I cut the centre from this cardstock leaving a 1" frame.
On top of that frame I places an 11.5" x 11.5" piece of the Dowager paper.
I added some splatters to this paper with Glimmer Mist's Black Magic
I cut a piece of the Shilling paper that was 5" wide x 12" following the zig zag pattern on both 12" edges.
I traced the zig zag edge onto a 7" piece of Parlor and cut this out.
The Shilling paper was attached on top of the Parlor paper.
This was then attached to the layout base with a piece of craft foam between them
I filed the edge of the photos with an emery board, inked them with the black ink and matted them onto some of the cardstock I removed from the middle of my background frame.
I added craft foam to the back of the photos before attaching them to my layout
To embellish the pennants a little I punched some tiny hearts from the teal cardstock and attached them.
The pennants were attached to the layout in the top left hand area and the speech bubble was attached to the top right hand area of the right hand photo.
The title was die cut from the teal cardstock using Kaisercraft's DD735 Uppercase Alpha dies.
The final touch was to give the tiny hearts and the title a good coat of Glossy Accents

I have torn one long edge of each of these paper strips, inked the edges with my black Versacolour ink cube and layered them onto my white card stock background so each layer slightly overlaps the one below it.
I have fussy cut several flowers from the Garden Variety sheet of patterned paper to embellish my page.
To fill the stamping requirement I used the zig zag stamp from Kaisercraft's Bow & Arrow stamp set to stamp with Versamark Ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder to areas of the background that would not be covered by my photos
The title was cut using Kaisercraft's Alphabet Upper Case die set from the Sun Shower patterned paper
I also used the Sun Shower patterned paper to cover the chipboard arrow from the optional kit before I attached it to the layout

That you for spending part of your day here with me today
A very quick post today to show you three cards I made using layered flowers as the focal points
All of the cards are 5" square and have been cut from 240gsm smooth white cardstock.
The decorative paper is from Kaisercraft's Dream Big 6" paper pad.
Card No. 1
This card is a Z fold card.
The front white cardstock panel is 3.25" square.
The featured flower is stamped and heat embossed using Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Flowers stamp, black pigment ink and clear embossing powder.
After fussy cutting the flowers they were shaped using my flower shaping tool and layered onto the front panel. A rhinestone gem finished the flower off.
The sentiment was stamped using one of the stamps from Woodware's Word Fragments clear stamp pack.. This was heat embossed and layered onto some white cardstock and another layer of the pink patterned paper. This was attached to the card front just below the flower with chipboard behind it to give it some extra height.
Card No. 2
I cut a piece of cardstock 5" x 5" and stamped and heat embossed the background of daisies. I do not know the name of the stamp I have used here. I stamped it with black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I trimmed this piece down to 4.5" square and cut a piece of gold mirror board to 4.75" square and layered them onto the front of the card.
For the focal point I stamped and heat embossed two flowers using Embossing Arts Co. 192-GB Giant Flowers stamp cube. This stamp is from 2001 so I don't think it would still be available. The flowers were then fussy cut, shaped, layered onto each other and attached to the front of the card in the bottom left section.
A rhinestone gem finished off this flower.
The sentiment is from Uniquely Creative and came in a kit. I have cut the sentiment from the page and cut a fishtail in one end.
Card No. 3
I cut a 5" square piece of cardstock and stamped and heat embossed Woodware's Five Daisies onto this cardstock and another scrap piece of cardstock.
I used some Anko Watercolour Brush Pens, that I purchased at Kmart and had been wanting to try, to colour both sets of flowers and the leaves on the 5" piece of cardstock.
Once the flowers were coloured I fussy cut the ones that were on the scrap cardstock.
I trimmed the 5" piece of cardstock to 4.5" and cut a piece of orange cardstock to 4.75" to layer between the card front and the stamped panel.
After shaping the fussy cut flowers they were layered on top of the other flowers using foam squares.
The sentiment on this card is from my computer generated greeting sheet and has been matted on a piece of the orange cardstock and attached to the card front with a piece of chipboard behind it.
So there we have my three cards for today.
Here is the video if you would like to watch the cards come together.
