Birthday Card

We are going to a friends 60th birthday celebration on Saturday night so I have made her a card. I got the instructions off the internet, a video by Collette Mitrega that you can see here.

I have used the same sheet of cardstock for the two layers and a old Papercraft Designer 6" paper pad for the decorative papers.

The sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder and the flowers are made using Leane Creative Multi Die flower 006.

I have left the centre panel clear so that we can write our greeting there.

Large Album using Kaisercraft Recipe Book

Hi there

I have been busy making this album for a friend to give to her friend as a birthday gift. The Kaisercraft Recipe album is 12" high by 9.5" wide, so quite large. The 5 internal pages are made of 1mm chipboard. The album will hold 56 photos in total.

My friend wanted to decorate the front cover herself. The large cake is stuck on but the other decorations are just sitting there for the photo and will be replaced by whatever she decides to put on it.

I have created this page for an 8" x 6" photo, maybe of the birthday girl or her favourite photo of the night.

This waterfall of photo mats will hold 9 photos. The 2 parcels at the top of the photo mats are stamped and heat embossed then fussy cut. All of the tabs throughout the album have been created using the McGill File Tab 3" punch.

A couple of pockets to hold some photo mats. Room for 10 more photos.

These two photo mats are attached to the page. A bit of stamping, heat embossing, fussy cutting and die cutting used here.

Another pocket to hold some photo mats. This one has a punched edge along the diagonally cut top edge. The hats and cupcakes are once again stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut. Room for 6 photos here.

A simple page for 2 photos. Die cut journal spot and the cup cakes have glossy accents added to the icing section

The ribbon on the photo mat section unties to allow the star to unfold. This will hold 9 photos.

Side pocket used here to hold the photo mats which will house 8 photos

This page has a belly band to hold the photos in place. The balloons are a purchased wooden embellishment.

Page 12 of the album (inside back cover) is a plain white page so people can leave a hand written message to the birthday girl.

The back cover is in a dark colour to take the wear and tear as best it can.
