A Layout and a Card

This is a layout I did recently and forgot to share on here. I have heat embossed the butterflies on the patterned background paper and also fussy cut some heat embossed butterflies that I did at the same time. All the edges of the patterned papers are distressed and I have used a punch to highlight several areas. The flowers were hand made using Kaisercraft DD707 Layered Flowers die. The title was cut using my Cricut. I have added Dimensional Magic to the title.

I made this card for a friends birthday. Lots of layers here. A hand made flower, some die cutting and punching along with some embossing and glimmermist

She Art Canvas

I did an online course with Christy Tomlinson called She Art. I really enjoyed the course and I find Christy to be very informative and doesn't hold back with her information on how she does things. The information I got from this course can be used in any art journalling and is very helpful for me. This is what I made. It is a 8" x 10" boxed canvas.

I Decided to Fly Art Journal page

This is another Art Journal page I finished this week. Recuperating from shoulder surgery has given me plenty of spare time.

I used Distress paints on the background, then wiped the paint off through a stencil to create the mottled effect. Texture paste through a stencil, stamping and rub-ons also went into the background. The birds were heat embossed and the coloured with Distress Inks and a finger dabber. The fence is strips of scrapbooking paper. The flowers are burlap stuck on with the hot glue gun.

Barbie Dress Layout

I finished this layout today. I love the photos, they were taken on Christmas morning 2014 and Charli had just opened her present from my Mum, her great grandmother, It was this pink Barbie Dress. She was so excited. She had also got some lippy and fingernail polish, so she rushed off to do her makeup and put her dress on and this is what she came back with. She was so pleased with herself.

I have used papers from a Heidi Swapp paper pad I bought ages ago called Favourite Things, chipboard hexagons from Imaginarium Designs, punches by Martha Stewart, Kindy Glitz on the wooden heartland the title is cut using Sizzles "Cherish" alphabet. The brads and lace are from my stash.
