8" x 8" America Layout No. 1

Hello

This evening I am sharing another layout for the 8" x 8" album I am creating.

You can check out the video here

My grand-daughter had 3 weeks in America in 2018 and this is the first of three pages about that holiday.

I have used some Golden Glass Bead Gell through TCW stencil Chevron. When that was dry I used some Dylusions Ink Spray - Vibrant Turquoise - and some Glimmer Glaze - Pink Lady - to dribble down the page and then sprayed it with water to help it run and blend.

Next I took a stamp that looks like tangled cotton and some Archival Ink - Russet - and stamped randomly around the background.

I used a die to cut the two pieces of patterned paper that are attached to one of the edges of each photo.

The Mickey Mouse head is a memento that my grand-daughter bought back from her holiday.

The "Enjoy Today" is cut from the cut apart sheet that came with this paper pad and is mounted on foam tape.

I used my fineline dispenser to apply the thinned black acrylic paint around the edge of the page and the "enjoy today" embellishment

The journalling was printed on normal printer paper and attached with double sided tape.

I hope you check out the video and if you enjoy it I would love it if you shared it with your friends

Travel Album Flip Through

Hi,

Today I want to show you an album I have created following a Youtube tutorial by Scrapqueen
You will find my video here
You will find the album created by Scrapqueen here.

The album measures 9 1/4" x 11" by 3 1/2" deep

I have used Kaisercraft's Now Boarding paper collection.
I am going to Egypt later in the year and intend to use this album to store my photos from that trip.

I just love all of the interaction that this album has.

Here are some photos but they do not really do the album justice. I would encourage you to look at the video to see the real functionality of the album.

This photo shows the back cover, the spine and the front cover opened out flat.

Page 1. There is a large packet on the page on the left and a triple belly band on the page on the rights

Page 2 The left hand page has a lift up flap that is held in place with a magnet and the the bottom section opens down. then there are 2 double fold out photo mats that fold out to the left. The page on the right is very hard to explain. when you untie the ribbon there is a pocket which holds a large tag then the assembly folds down to reveal space for 4 photos and then fold up to hold another 4 photos. There is also a pocket in the side that holds a large photo mat.

The left page in this picture used 4 envelopes to make pockets that fold out to reveal a large area for photos. Each pocket has a photo mat inside of it. The page on the right is two clear pockets holding white photo mats. The metal embellishments swivel to allow that section to open to the left re3 pockets holding photo mats on the left side and a large photo area on the right.

The rust strip of paper on the left page has a magnet enclosed in the bottom circle to hold the page closed. When this is opened there are 2 clear 6" x 4" pockets which hinge on the left edge. They open to the left and reveal another large photo area and then this opens to reveal an even larger photo area.
The page on the right is too hard to try to explain, I will just say it is a puzzle page and please check it out in the video

The page on the left is held closed with a magnet, when the strip of black cardstock is lifted you can place photos on the area you can see in the photo here. When you open the flap there is a pop up feature and three pockets that hold photo mats. The page on the right is the inside back cover and has a pocket on it to hold my memorabilia.

I am really happy with this album and encourage you to check out the video

I also encourage you to check out Scrapqueen if you enjoy making albums from scratch. You will find a link to here at the top of this post and in the description box of the video.

Katy Perry Double Page Layout

Hello paper crafting friends

Today I am sharing a double page layout. You can see the video here.

I used Scan N Cut Canvas to create the background cut file using stars and a square. I then used assorted pieces of scraps that I had left over from previous pages in the same album to back the stars so they would stand out from the background and give the layout a "fun" look.

When I had completed backing the file the page came together very quickly. I layered the cut file section on top of a piece of lightly patterned paper, matted the photos and entrance ticket (which doubles as a journalling block as it has all of the details of the event) and attached them to the page.

Once again I have used the Kaisercraft "Party" paper line as this 8" x 8" layout will be going in Charli's 2018 album.

Because there were so many photos on these pages I did not thing that it required any more embellishing.

Don't forget to pop over to my YouTube and check out the video
You will also find links to other layout videos in the description box below this video if you are interested in check out some more of my videos.

I would love it if you subscribed to my YouTube  channel and shared my videos with your friends.

Holey Moley Layout

Good morning everyone.

So glad you could visit my blog today.

Today I am showcasing a 8" x 8" layout I have created.

You can see the video here.

I have used the Kaisercraft "Party" paper line for this layout. In fact I have used the branding strips from the papers.

This is a very simple page. First I used 3 different coloured sprays to splatter randomly over the background.

I cut some of the branding strips to various lengths and attached them to the left hand edge of the layout then cut another strip that was 1/4" x 8" and attached that down the right hand edge of the layout. All of the papers had their edges inked with black ink to make them stand out a little more.

I matted my trimmed photos on black cardstock and attached one with double sided tape and one with foam tape so the higher one slightly overlapped the flat one.

I cut two words from the cut-a-part sheet and attached them to the layout so they slightly overlapped the photos.

The title was cut on my Scan N Cut using one of the fonts on my computer. Sorry but I can not remember the name of it. If you want to know what it is leave me a comment and I will look it up for you.

Hope you enjoy the process video
