Three fold Accordion Card

Good morning

Today I am sharing a variation of the Accordion Fold Card I shared with you a couple of weeks ago.
You will find the video for that card here

The first card had 8 folds where this card has three

I will give you the measurements for all of the cardstock and papers to start.

The basic construction of the card is done with smooth white cardstock
I have used my Score Board to create all of my score marks

You will need:-

Cardstock

1 piece 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" scored at 5 1/4" on the long edge. This is the outer card base.
2 pieces 5" x 8" scored at 4", 5", 6" and 7". This forms the inside of the card.

Patterned Paper
I used Kaisercraft's Curiosity 6 1/2" paper pad.

2 pieces 5" x 3 3/4". These are the left and right panels inside the card.
6 pieces 5" x 3/4". These are the pieces that go on the accordion section of the inside of the card
1 piece 5" x 5". This is the from outside of the card.
1 piece 1 1/2" x 5 1/4". This will go on the outside back of the card.
6 pieces 3 1/4" x 2 1/8"

To assemble the card:-

Fold your outer card base along the score line, burnish and set aside.
Using the 2  pieces of cardstock for the inside of the card fold and burnish score lines starting with a valley fold on the 4" score line. Proceed with mountain/valley folding to the end.

Overlap the two peaks at the end of the accordion folds so you have a total of three peaks.
Glue in place, ensuring you have everything nicely lined up.
Re-burnish your folds.

With the peaks facing toward you, add 1 1/2" of double sided tape to
the back outside edges of accordion fold panel.
Do not bring the adhesive much closer to the accordion folds.

Attach the panel to the card base, level with the outside edge of the card base
and centred between the top and bottom.

Run a row of double sided tape across the middle of the outside back and front of the card.
Attach a ribbon to this tape so you have enough to tie a bow.

Ink the edges of the patterned papers and attach to the card.

Attach the 6 pieces of patterned paper that measure 3 1/4" x 2 1/8" back to back
making 3 double sided panels.

Attache these to the left edge of the three accordion fold. One at the top,
one at the bottom and one centred between the two.
You will only need about half an inch of adhesive on each one.
Butt them up with the valley folds.

To decorate my card I have stamped Picket Fence's Flowers for the Picking stamp
with Stayzon Jet black ink onto scraps of the patterned paper.
I also stamped some leaves in the same way.

I fussy cut them and attached them to the three panels on the inside of the card.

To decorate the front of the card I used some cut aparts
from the  paper pad I have used for this card.

Using my Crop-o-dile I added a white eyelet in the tag and threaded some ribbon through it.
I also used a scalloped circle and a label.

This was matted on a piece of the apricot patterned paper
and then attached to the label from the cut a part sheet.
I added chipboard to the back of this panel before attaching it to the front of the card.

Three of the fussy cut flowers and a few leaves were added.

The finishing touch was to add Ice Stickles Diamond Glitter Glue to the centre of each of the flowers.

If you would like to watch the video it is below.

Thank you for spending part of your day here with me today.
I hope you enjoy my video.

Till next time
Stay safe
