The second card is rectangular and is in bright traditional Christmas colours

and the third card is a mini slimline card in non traditional Christmas colours

Here are all three together

My favourite thing to do is travel and the photos on this layout
were taken at Seal Bay on Kangaroo Island

DT project for Denise Boddey Designs

Hi there

Today I am sharing two cards I created using the
beautiful new paper range from Denise Boddey Designs.

It is called Cogs of Time and is a gorgeous steampunk range.

These cards came together so easily because the papers do all of the hard work for you.

The cards are 5.25" square.

The chipboard I have used is also from the Cogs of Time range and goes with everything.

Lots of fussy cutting the beautiful images to create the focal points for my cards.

I have also included some avocado dyed gauze (cheese cloth)
and some Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.

I will add sentiments when I decide what I will use these cards for.
I think they are suitable for any occasion.

Here is my process video
I hope you enjoy watching it.

MTCC #65

Good morning

`I wanted to show you the card I created for MTCC #65

The theme is Halloween but as I don't celebrate Halloween
I decided to make a child's birthday card using Halloween colours

I have dry embossed and heat embossed on this card.

This is a very easy, eye catching card and you can see how
quickly it came together in my video below.
I hope you enjoy watching it.

Mystical Scrapbooks September Challenge

Hello hello

My post today is to share with you the layout I created for the
September challenge at Mystical Scrapbooks

The theme this month is "All about You"
so I have created a layout using a photo of me, not something I do very often.

This months feature product is chipboard.
All of the chipboard is on sale for this month at Mystical Scrapbooks
so stock up while the prices are down.

I have used papers from Bee Arty and 49 and Market Creator Botanical

I used White Gold Metallique paste to colour my chipboard pieces

The flowers are hand made and you can see the process video below.

I used Spellbinders Nesting Hexagon die to cut my hexagons from the 49 and Market paper

I have machine stitched around the layout and each of the hexagons

Glossy Accents gives a gloss finish to my title

Why not check out my video

and here is the flower making video

I hope you can join us for this challenge and have fun scrapbooking "All about Yourself"

Till next time

Using Paint on a Layout

Hi there

The focal product at Mystical Scrapbooks this month is paint
so I decided to create a layout using paint in different ways

I have dry brushed five colours of paint onto white cardstock to create the background

Then I stippled paint through a Colour Blast - Love and Grace stencil to add a little interest

I have used patterned papers from Uniquely Creatives Country Roads and Bella! Wedding

I have painted chipboard and also heat embossed chipboard.

The title is cut from black cardstock using an alpha die with a coat of Glossy Accents

A scribbly border was drawn around the layout using a black pen.

Here are a few suggestions of ways you could use paint on your projects:-

Paint metal embellishments
Colour chipboard
Apply through a stencil
Water down and use as a wash
Blending and shading
On Acetate
On Velum
Dry brushing
Layering
Add sand or other to give the paint texture
Stipple
Splatter
Apply with a palette knife
Detailing using a fine brush or paint pen
Add a watered down coat to loud patterned paper to tone it down
Colour your Texture/Modelling paste
Stamp using Foam Stamps
Heat emboss over paint

Here is my process video showing how I have used paint on this layout

Would love to hear of ways that you use paint on your projects.

Till next time
Thanks for spending part of your day here with me
